BMW Set New Guinness World Record Drift

 It seems that BMW is having all the fun of smashing the world record for the strange world out there. Back in February, a BMW M5 to get behind the wheel Johan Schwartz entered the Guinness world record for longest drift: 76.8 km (47.71 miles). This time the record was set at the BMW Performance Center near Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday, May 11th, 2013. This time he has a total of 322.5 within 841 meters around the perimeter of the circle, a total distance of 51.278 miles.

This event is only the first of many in a week of events leading up to the BMW Charity Pro-Am. To date, a total of $ 20,000 has been raised with will benefit more than 150 charities.

Participants around the world have been invited to drive in the new BMW vehicles, including the M6 Coupe enjoy or get a "hot lap" ride from one of the BMW Performance Center instructors.
 
 
The current generation BMW M5 was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and just two years later, the company has prepared a version for small sports sedan.

For 2014 models, the M5 will get a redesigned grille kidneys, and new headlights and taillights. Nothing too drastic has changed, just enough to keep the new model.

Under the hood, the M5 will continue to conventional 4.4-liter V-8 with M TwinPower Turbo package provides an impressive 560 horsepower and 501 pounds-ft. This model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and, when the speed limit is removed, it is likely to touch a maximum speed of 190 mph.
