Unfortunately, no updates were made under the hood, but even in the standard version, the Grand Cherokee is quite a powerful SUV.
The current-generation Grand Cherokee made its world
debut at the 2009 New York Auto Show and the only update since then is
the addition of an SRT version announced at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
The
standard model is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 280
horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while top version gets a
5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with 360 horsepower and 390pound-feet of
torque.
The SRT version gets a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8
engine that delivers a total of 470 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 465
pound-feet of torque at 4,300 rpm.
