Chevrolet Corvette C6RS ready for auction

Back in 2007, Pratt and Miller Engineering is required by GM to develop a road version of the C6R race cars as a special gift to Jay Leno. Apparently, the company was impressed by the results and a total of seven units to be developed eventually. Back then, Corvette C6RS cost $ 330,000.

If you are interested in owning one of seven C6RS model ever built, now you have the chance to win C6RS003 serial number - a special unit set and built for the Pratt & photography official race Miller - auction.

If you are interested, you can auction on eBay this car. Currently the price is a little under $ 110k, but we expect to see it jump up pretty quickly as the end of the auction method. Hurry though, as the bidding war ended on May 19, 2013.

The C6RS was developed with C5R and C6R racing in mind, so it offers some unique features inspired by the racing world. These inspirations include a carbon fiber body, suspension track-oriented, and a ram induction system with K & N air filter.

This model is supported by a Katech Performance 8.2-liter (500-cubic-inch) all-aluminum small-block V-8 engine producing 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a T-56 six-speed manual transmission.
