Posted: 24 Jun 2013 04:54 PM PDT

Called the Kisai Intoxicated Breathalyzer Watch, it has just been launched, and as its name suggests, it lets you know if you're too drunk to drive – it also unquestionably allows you to tell the police officer who has just stopped you "sorry, I have my own…" and get away with it, or at least make him/her break a smile.

Watch a Porsche 911 GT2 Driver Crash, Tumble and Then Walk Away on the 'Ring

Posted: 24 Jun 2013 11:30 AM PDT

Unlike this Porsche 911 GT2 RS owner who recently proved that Lady Luck exists on the Nürburgring racetrack, the person behind the wheel of the yellow 911 GT2 that you're about to watch in the following video, wasn't so fortunate, but on the other hand, he was able to walk away with minor injuries, which has to count for something.

Captured on the dashboard camera of a Citroen DS3 Racing, the Porsche driver comes into the picture when he flies by the French hatch, which at that point, was going around 160km/h (about 100mph). A few seconds later, we see the German sports car veering to the left, smashing into the protective barrier, which sends it into the air, and rolling on the ground.

Renault Drops the Rear Seat from the Twizy and Turns It into the Twizy Cargo Pocket Van

Posted: 24 Jun 2013 11:10 AM PDT

Renault has unveiled the Twizy Cargo, a new version of the small battery-powered model designed for carrying goods – or at least in theory. Don't think of it as an alternative to the Kangoo, as the boot can only accommodate 180 liters (6.35 cubic feet) of luggage weighing a maximum of 75 kilograms (165.3 lbs). This has been done at the expense of the single rear seat, which has disappeared to create some cargo space.

Built by Renault Tech in cooperation with Renault Sport Technologies, the Twizy Cargo has a watertight boot that is accessible via a rear lockable door that opens to 90 degrees. The conversion leaves the front seat still moveable, while the rear door features a locking system that works with the ignition key.

Kia Puts a Price Tag on Hot Pro_Cee’d GT for UK Market

Posted: 24 Jun 2013 10:30 AM PDT

If the name Pro_Ceed'd GT, which is far too long and too contrived, doesn't put you off buying a hot Kia, then the model's recently acquired price tag of £19,995 for the UK market positions it in a market sector which it has for itself, only fighting off Renault's GT Line and the odd higher-spec VW Scirocco.

The model has been developed to be a kind of sub-hot-hatch vehicle, so there's less outright power than any of its apparent direct rivals, but the car itself looks just as sporty, and it matches the sexy two-door Vauxhall/Opel GTC and Renault's Megane RS for presence - it's still a bit faster than what are called warm hatches, though.

Aston Martin's Danish Driver Allan Simonsen Dies in Le Mans Crash

Posted: 24 Jun 2013 05:54 AM PDT

For most of us, motor racing is something we experience from the side of the track, looking on into the distance waiting for the cars to come by, then almost snapping your neck as you look the other way trying to keep them in view for as long as possible… Far fewer of us ever get the chance to race at the highest echelons, and those that do, are considered fortunate.

Sadly, it is a line of work with among the most dangerous in the world, and now it has taken its toll yet again, this time claiming the life 34 year-old Danish driver Allan Simonsen, who was involved in a crash close to the start of this year's Le Mans 24H race (around 10 minutes in).
