Poll: American or German? We Compare Cadillac Elmiraj and Mercedes S-Class Coupe Studies

In late August, Cadillac wooed the crowds at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California with the striking Elmiraj, a concept for a two-door luxury coupe that also hinted at the brand's upcoming BMW 7-Series challenger.

Only a few weeks later, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz presented its vision of a luxury coupe in the form of the S-Class Coupe, which will enter production in about a year or so.

BMW X6M Earns Its Stripes with New Design Edition

BMW has released a new special version of the X6 M called the "Design Edition", which brings a series of styling upgrades both inside and outside.

Unveiled on BMW M's Facebook page, the car comes equipped with 21-inch M Performance double-spoke light alloy wheels, M Performance carbon front splitter, rear spoiler and mirror caps, matte black kidney grille, a black rear diffuser and optional M Performance stripes in BMW M's colors.

VW Reportedly Developing New Twin-Turbo VR6 Engine with Up to 450 HP

Volkswagen is working on a new narrow-angle V6 direct-injection gasoline engine, a report citing sources from the carmaker's engineering headquarters claims.

AutoWeek reports the new powerplant is being developed at VW's Braunschweig engineering headquarters under the supervision of the carmaker's new head of engine development, Fritz Eichler. He has previously worked for Mercedes AMG and has been responsible for the development of the current generation of AMG engines.

If Real, This is One Helluva Double Whammy…

Forgive us for being skeptical with certain videos, but a lack of proof and the knowledge that pranks and even TV scenes are passed on as real events in some instances, forces us to act this way adding question marks to some stories.

This footage, obtained from a nearby security camera, depicts an almost implausible incident in which a pedestrian kicking around what looks to be a tennis ball is banged on the head by a parking bar that throws him down to the ground. But his troubles are not over as the BMW 3-Series E36 sedan waiting to cross drives over his legs…

Lamborghini CEO Says Urus SUV will Go into Production

Stephan Winkelmann, the CEO of Lamborghini, said the sports car manufacturer will build the Urus SUV, which was unveiled at the Auto China 2012 as a concept.

"We're working on it and it will come, which will be good for the brand," Winkelmann said about the SUV in an interview, according to a Bloomberg-sourced report on Japan Times. "We're going low profile now. I can't tell you much on details now, but when we get close to the launch, we will have more," the executive added.
