[w/Poll] Posted: 23 Apr 2014 05:18 PM PDT You have probably heard that the Audi A3 snagged the 2014 World Car of the Year award at the New York Auto Show, but the gala included more honors, including the 2014 World Performance Car award, which went to the Porsche 911 GT3. Under normal circumstances, I don't think anyone could argue that the award is undeserved, but given Porsche's recall action announced on February 20 which involved all 2014 Porsche 911 GT3s built (785 vehicles), I believe the jurors should have given it a second thought. Upcoming Title "Next Car Game" is Shaping Up Nicely [w/Videos] Posted: 23 Apr 2014 02:49 PM PDT Last time we showed the future gaming title Next Car Game was in January, when the developers were still ironing bugs out of the physics engine. All they had imported ingame at that time was a physics engine test area and a demolition derby ring; now they have an actual track imported and it looks like a lot of fun. Read more » |

I have yet to read a test of the M3/4 models (if you have, do share), but today, one of our readers directed us to Bimmerpost where we learned that the first (or one of the first) M3s arrived in the hands of its happy owner. Peugeot Purportedly Planning to Come Back to the USA Posted: 23 Apr 2014 12:45 PM PDT Peugeot has been absent from the US since 1991, and the last car they sold there was the classy-looking and well-proportioned 405 sedan which was made available for about three years before it was phased out. It wasn't an exciting car per se, but at least they even brought over one fifth of the entire 25,000 production run of the sporty Mi16 model (pictured below); you can pick one up today for under $5,000. Can the BMW M235i Beat the New Seat Leon Cupra in a Drag Race? Well, Duh… Posted: 23 Apr 2014 11:33 AM PDT We usually try to hide the winner of performance videos in our titles and subsequent writings, but EVO magazine's latest online episode leaves us no choice due to the huge power gap between the two competitors, with the only excuse given being the similar power-to-weight ratios. Predictable: Lexus IS to Gain Turbo Four from NX Crossover Posted: 23 Apr 2014 11:02 AM PDT While Lexus is still trying to act like it's 1985 back when diesels clattered, smoked like hell and were slow so therefor unfit for smooth luxury cars, it has finally given in to the other engine-related trend of the industry: downsizing and turbocharging of gasoline-burning motors.
