Consumer Reports Shows Tesla Model S' New Battery Protection Plate

Tesla overlooked the possibility of under car objects hitting the leading edge of the Model S' battery pack and setting it on fire, so the shield that they conceived for the car only protected the underbelly. Now, after this design flaw was pointed out…the hard way, Tesla has come up with a solution that involves the retrofitting of plates that complete the car's underbody defenses against protrusions of all types. VW Brand Delivered a Record 1.99 Million Vehicles in the First Four Months

The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand delivered almost 2 million vehicles for the first time in the first four months of a year. 1.99 million VW vehicles were registered to customers from January through April 2014, up from 1.91 million in the same period last year (up 4.6 percent). In April alone, VW delivered 513,400 cars, up from 480,900 in April 2013 (up 6.8 percent). Read more »

Buick Adds Rearview Camera as Standard on All 2015 Models
