Giving it 400 horses under the bonnet, rear wheel drive and sharper handling could see it face off against established hot saloons (and estates) - would be all the more convincing reason for Ford to consider making a Mondeo ST and Opel/Vauxhal to up the power of the Insignia OPC/VXR.

Kia and Hyundai are really starting to mean business. After the latter launched the reportedly excellent new Genesis (premium) sedan, it's now the turn of Kia to get its own piece of luxurious German-rivaling action.

Its attempt is even bolder than that of Hyundai, as we learn that it wants to make a production version of the GT concept to go head to head with the likes of the Porsche Panamera, BMW 5-Series GT.

Marchionne to Step Down as Fiat-Chrysler CEO in 2018

Sergio Marchionne has been "in office" since June of 2004, and that makes him the longest serving CEO of any major Euro automaker.

However, he's just announced that he will not be occupying the position after the year 2018 when he plans to step down and try something else (other than a major company turnaround - he's apparently really into theoretical physics...).
