The new i20 has moved the game on considerably for Hyundai, even when comparing it to the capable and not at all undesirable previous-gen.

It's got a higher quality interior, it looks as modern as anything in the class and it promises an emphasis on comfort. Therefore, it'd be a good base for a subcompact wagon, a model currently being mulled by the Korean automaker.

All-New Mazda2 Enters Production in Mexico

Mazda plans to achieve a 250,000 annual production figure at its MMVO (Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation) manufacturing plant by the end of fiscal year 2016.

The site currently manufactures the 3 but as of last week the smaller 2/Demio supermini/subcompact (pictured) also went into production, destined for showrooms across the world at the start of next year.
