The New Zealand arm of BMW decided that this year's April Fools needed a new kind of gag, one that was actually not a gag at all, although it sounded like one. It used the local Herald newspaper to print an ad saying the first person to come to a specific dealership and ask for Tom would get a new car in exchange for their old one.
