It can easily be fabricated to take the shape and the size necessary. However, there are still elements that can affect the condition of metal such as rust that is caused by oxidation. Because of this, most machines cease to function.

And this is the reason why you have to utilize additives as well. One of the functions that it has is to prevent wearing out so that it can still function well.

Prevention of corrosion by improving the efficiency and preventing it from happening is the main function of putting an additive in lubricant substances. However, there are still different types out there that also have their specific function. There are those that help in friction reduction to avoid overheating and prevent explosions.

Other additives are made to prevent external particles from ever getting in the engine. It might be dangerous for the entire device to have something inside it that is not included in the original components. There are certain devices that has to make contact with external materials. But in order to prevent smaller particles from getting in, the bearings have to be applied with lubrication.

Oil is frequently used in most parts of different types of engines. However, there are certain particles and impurities that cannot be avoided when creating the liquid. Once inside the engine, the only way to prevent the contamination is to apply certain additives. These impurities are known to be the main cause of oxidation.

The consistency of this substance must be the same even if there are differences in temperatures. When machines are used, they tend to heat up which also increases the level of temperature. And this makes the oil thinner unless you apply the right additive for it.

Air bubbles and foams bring oxygen inside. And it is the main trigger for oxidation. The lubricants cannot last that long if they are present. That is why it is important that additives be considered for maintenance.
