When Paint Spray Booth Was Invented

By George Johnson

Invention of this technology to be specific started as a method and instrument for circulating air to an automated process to control over spray formed in the booth in time of painting. A brief description in the earlier art hereto the downdraft the paint spray booth as a vacuum usually beyond the ceiling of the equipment and running the across the entire system.

There is a large choice of methods to choose from, every method has its own kind specifications and recommended function. After all, they all generally perform the same task which is to contain filtrate and remove any dangerous aerosol adhesive, A tan solution and solder fumes from the air.

It is also used to contain things like resins varnish smell and conformal coatings. So, use of these methods in your daily activity have respiratory health disadvantages.

When disperse mist guns were first used on the assembly line, finishing times which would take about fifteen day was reduced considerably to about eight days. Later, the nitrocellulose lacquer, unique for fast drying, was introduced by DuPont. It reduced the finishing time even more. New material, proved virtually impossible to apply with a brush, but it was realized that dispersing mist gun could transfer the solution smoothly and quickly.

The device is a small stall fitted with an extraction fan and filters to get rid of and absorb the harmful particles from airbrush paints. Filters can either be inbuilt in the cabinet units or fitted separately. These equipments are designed in a range of sizes from as small as 1 by 1 by 1 inch cubes to as large as could feet a 100 by 20 by 25 feet room.

This system is generally made of steel which are secure and firmly supported. Sometimes they are made by concrete or masonry except aluminum which is highly combustible. It can be made of any incombustible material. Such systems are usually designed to sweep air currents towards the exhaust outlet.

This gadget should be smooth and continuous without corners in the interior surface. This helps to prevent pocketing of residues and also enable cleaning and washing without injury since edged may scratch and cause injury. The floor should also be incombustible. In short, these modernized gadget should be made by incombustible material in all its parts including the baffle plates and the filter rolls.

In a nutshell, such equipment has very many important functions and so it is advised that you should not build your own spraying booth because it requires detailed professionalism and expertise. To add, it requires skilled personality to determine the best material to use so as to make it fully effective in filtering dirty material when spraying and also extracting the flammable material and diluting them.
