Instructions On Driving Stick Shift Car

There is a great difference between the manual and automatic cars which makes it hard for a person used to driving the automatic to drive the manual one mostly when you never driven one before. Therefore there are some of the moves in which are supposed to be made when driving stick shift and should be learnt first.

There are rules for handling the vehicle on the road in order to stay safe and avoid making accident of which they can be fatal. Before taking your first step and get in automobile, you should be confident enough to start learning something new but do not rush and start speeding before you are sure you can make it throughout. Therefore, take time to learn by doing this on a road side or field where there are no many people.

The first thing you have to do when you have entered the car is to adjust the sear and make sure you are able to reach all the pedals and push then in completely. This will allow you avoid getting tired on trying to reach the pedal. The other thing is to push the clutch fully and disengage the gear. You will know you have done so when the gear lever is at the center and can move freely from one side to the other.

At this time, you are ready to start the engine and start making your first move. Push the clutch in after the engine is on and engage the first drive gear. Then, you can release it slowly when the other leg is pushing in the gas at the same pace. Automobile will start gaining power and will eventually start moving. At this point you are nervous but you need not to worry if you follow the instructions I am giving correctly.

The second this is to start moving by releasing grasp slowly while pushing in the gas pedal also slowly at the same pace. This will power the engine and the car will start moving. If you are already conversant with automatic vehicle, you will be able to navigate the steering wheel and keep the car on the road.

After this, you should relax the leg which was stepping on clutch to relax since you will be required to do the same when you reach your destination or changing the driving gear. After doing this, make sure you practice on the same for some time so you will master the moves.

When you want to stop, make sure you are not speeding then push in the clutch while releasing the gas to make the engine relax and move freely. Then, move the leg which was on the gas to the brake pedal and step on in. Push it slowly until the car stops. Before switching the engine off, you need to leave the gear free and engage the hand brake. Here, you can release the clutch and switch off the engine.

This is the only way you can be able to make your moves on a busy traffic where ever one on the road considers you a qualified driver. Therefore, you should do this repeatedly. When stopping, make sure to push the clutch in while still releasing the accelerator and push brake pedal to stop.
