They also need to learn how to use the necessary equipment like ladders, hoses, chain saws, fire extinguishers and axes. Advanced knowledge may even cover cases like arson and disaster preparedness.

Choosing to save lives even when your life is put at risk is no doubt a very noble cause. Not only are there a lot of professional hazards involved but wanting to be a firefighter require great dedication and motivation to a single cause. The people in these industries definitely need to have higher pay and a better benefits with the amount of work that they do.
