Natalie Decker Racing Important Details

By George Anderson

Car racing is a sport where participants try to compete for the fastest automobile who can finish the contest first. These competitions are run on oval race tracks usually with various categories depending on the automobile used. Stock cars are those that have not been modified from its original factory configuration.

Numerous people are joining the sport and trying to have a successful career in it with people around them assisting their pursuit. An example is Natalie Decker racing when she was just very young and has made this her career. Here are some essential information if you want to be like her and start your own racing career.

If you have your own car then you can start by using it though those vehicles like SUV or trucks are prohibited. If you have no appropriate ones, wait until you purchase one or borrowing or renting for the mean time is another option. Any type is useable as long as they are mechanically sound and beginning with one that is not so fast may make your skill progression faster.

Right preparation is simple, affordable and easy specially when using stock which is best for beginners. Just be sure that it has been maintained well through securely attaching the seats and seatbelts, fluids and belts are recent, wheels torqued and brakes flushed. Modifying parts is a money waster except when spent on brake pads and fluids.

Acquire a good helmet specially when using stock vehicles as you would likely need it and will be wearing for half an hour without a chance to adjust it. Read good books to know more about the basic things and their explanations. Some of the ideas you will be reading may not make any sense but they will once you start racing.

Have food, water and plenty of rest days before until the day of the first track event you are joining. It is mentally tiring to drive on the racetrack specially for someone doing it the first time so be sure you did not intake any alcohol or abuse any substance. Bring something to drink and eat when in the event in keeping your energy up.

Be realistic with your expectations and do not expect you would be one of the fastest drivers on the track on your first try. Expect instead to be the slowest driver there as nobody ever does become the fastest one immediately. Remain humble and just do your best and you would become as fast as others after some more races.

Be a guest or a spectator first before attending the event as a competitor to have the feel of what it is like to be in these events. You could also observe others and get ideas on things you have to buy and bring when joining. This is also a way of scouting events so you could choose the best one for a beginner.

Consider having your own private coach specially when you own a higher class car. Find someone who has experience with a similar car to yours. Working with someone always will give you an advantage also.
