Trying to invest in a long term or seasonal car storage is a very affordable method to protect the automobile labor once you know how to the right way about it. It does not count when you are just going to store it away and then leave it alone. Those older type of cars needs to be on the road sometimes too.

Before you store it though, fill its tank with a premium type of gas and add just a little bit of fuel stabilizer. At least if it is what it says on the instructions. Fill it up to the brim. Doing that gives the excess moisture less time to build up in those open spaces. Those really lead the tank into rusting.

Clean your automobile. What are you going to do when you go back to it and find it really dirty and infested with rats or the like? To avoid that from happening to your beloved, wax it and perform all kinds of cleaning to it. That stops it from getting smelly or getting hurt.

Hmm? Lubing the doors is next? And the hinges too. As well as keeping the wheels really clean. Make it a point to keep baking soda and put it inside the interior to block any smelly odors.

Put your car on some jacks and fill its tires. It is very important to maintain your wheels in storage since they sometimes can be expensive to change. Fill those up to its max, according to your PSI at least. And if you do not plan on using your vehicle for a long while, put it on jacks, use one of those jack stands.

Remember to put some sort of plywood or any type of wood under your tires. When you put it into storage, the wheels will get ground rot. So to avoid that, apply those wooden surfaces below them to prevent any of that from happening.

If you plan to start your vehicle once in a while, get trickle charger or battery tender. It keeps it functioning over long periods of its time in keeping. Though, this will only work if you have some sort of power source where you will be putting it.

Once done, put your car somewhere dry, dark and clean. Do not do it on an old barn, that can damage all your cleaning and will definitely rot something there. The light can also be damaging it too.
